Reel Palestine Film Festival 2022 presented stories on the difficulties of living within  enclosed restrictions as a daily reality. In these circumstances  characters seek love, either that of a distant partner, a lost child, or in a community space to find a freedom beyond the physical borders through  hope and love.

"Liwan" is about a "culture café" in Nazareth, which opened in 2016 when the old market of Nazareth was a no-go area, run down following an Israeli “redevelopment” project. Despite many difficulties, they opened, driving a revival of the souq. They practise 'cultural resistance', organising activities focusing on Palestinian identity.
